I don’t know about you but sometimes I just need a burger.
Yes need!
Nothing else will do. Must be a burger.
Today my friend is one of those days!
Maybe it’s because of the sweet, chocolatey, hot cross bun filled weekend of indulgence that we just had. Maybe it’s because my iron is low, maybe it’s just because sometimes . . . I just need me a big ol’ burger.
I don’t really care about the reason, I just care about sharing this killer burger with you guys!

Ingredients
- 500g lean mince (I used extra lean pork mince)
- 1 heaping teaspoon of wholegrain mustard
- A dash of worcestershire sauce (one for the burgers and one for the sauce)
- 4-8 wholewheat rolls (or 6-8 dinner/slider rolls)
- 2 Tablespoons of plain greek yoghurt (I always, always use Chobani)
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- Ketchup/tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
-
Optional for serving
- lettuce/spinach leaves
-
Sliced cheese
Directions
- Place mince in a medium bowl and season generously with salt and pepper.
Add mustard along with a dash or worcestershire sauce and using a fork or your hands squish the mixture until well combined.
Divide the mince mix into 4-8 even portions and shape into burger patties. Set aside.
In a small bowl spoon greek yoghurt and add a dash of worcestershire sauce. Gently stir and marble together.
In a medium frypan/skillet over medium-high heat cook the burgers until crispy, golden and slightly caramelised. Try to only turn them once if you can.
Slice your rolls in half and toast either under the grill or in your toasted until toasty warm and deliciously crunchy.
To the top half of each roll add a good squeeze of ketchup followed by a heaping dollop of your greek yoghurt/worcestershire mix.
To the bottom half of your roll layer cheese and lettuce if using and top with a slice (or 2 ) or tomato.
Place your burger patty onto of the tomato and squish the sauce covered lid on.
Dig in!
